Continuing the establishment and operation of the Green Product Online Shop, the Green Products Online Shop Promotion Project (2nd Year) is designed to continue running and recruiting more manufacturers to put their products on the website, aiming to provide consumers, industries and organizations, and government agencies a better access to purchase III green products. Other than organizing 3 recruitment events to join in, this year the project team has launched a series of marketing campaigns by utilizing online advertisements, medias like radio broadcast and magazines, and internet blogs, as well as jointed forces with other companies to increase the shop＇s exposure, achieving this year＇s designated profit and increasing the public awareness of green consumption. Moreover, the project team helped design the structure and content of the green products display case on the 11th floor in the EPA building as well as provide promotion slides for the e-albums on the 4th floor, promoting green consumption to the visitors. In order to help expand the green mark system from manufactured products to service industry, an online “2008 Green Hotel Contest＂ was held at the end of 2007 as the additional part of the Green Products Online Shop Promotion Project (2nd Year). In accordance with the EPA＇s progress in designing the green hotel mark certification, the project team continued the online voting games as well as organizing other promoting events, such as drawing prizes for contest participants, awarding hotels that implemented excellent environmental management and measures, holding seminars that introduced standards required by the green hotel certification, and offering one-on-one consulting with hotel managers. These are all aimed to promote the concept of green hotel to the consumers and hotel industry and encourage the industry to adopt more environmental friendly management and measures and further apply for the green hotel certificates.
